Christmas Greetings …

I've given up – toddling on – but a post is needed to be sent out to our blogosphere … way too late …

... and I'm not writing books – so really no excuses … busy/lazy – you takes your pick!

The Lamb - December 2022

... but we had some snow to make us miserable and give the country more headaches (thankfully not here) …

The Lamb Inn 14th century (1300s … I get muddled!) - without its white coating …

The internet's web presence

I hope you can see the baubles ... the sun
wasn't shining ... it's a wooden spiral ...

I spotted this 'interesting' Christmas tree on my way into town … at some stage .. I must stop and look more closely to see how it's made … the owners must be artistically clever!

So here's to a happy festive time however you celebrate – I'll be with one of my brother's who lives locally … a smallish gathering this year …

There's lots of berries around this year

Here's to you all … I'll see you on New Year's Eve …

Merry Christmas!

Living in the USA, where things are considered 'old' if they've been around for 100 years or more, I'm in awe of buildings that have been around for centuries!

@ Hels - I'm positive there would have been notables there - it was a Meeting House (like a Court Room) back in the day ... but I can't say I know who ... some recent ones ... Lewis Carroll, Karl Marx and Frederick Engels, Claude Debussy ... more in Wiki ...

@ Jeff - thanks so much ...

@ Janie - yes I'll be around ...

@ Yam - thanks and see you on the other side of Christmas before 2023 comes around ...

@ EC - it should be fun ... and easier for all of us ...

@ Kathy - thank you ... I know - our 'old' goes back a long way ... we're lucky with the buildings being maintained and which are still with us ...

Thanks so much for your wishes - the same to you - enjoy yourselves ... cheers Hilary

I haven't felt like doing much of late, either. Rather than calling it lazy, figure that your body is telling you to slow down and rest. If you don't, you'll feel it later. (That's what I've been telling myself. It helps to mitigate the guilt over not doing things.)

Happy New Year to you, Hilary - nothing wrong with taking some time off from blogging and nothing wrong with small gatherings. We don't have buildings that old in the United States and they fascinate me. Take good care of yourself! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

Thank you for your thoughts, they mean so much. All the way over there, I never met you in person, but we have become friends. There are others too that I have befriended on the blogs, friendships that mean as much as with those friends I see and touch. Blogging is a very good thing, indeed. Happy New Year, dear Hilary.

Hope you had fun at your brother's house on Christmas. That tree is definitely creative! December is a busy month- and I find that I fall far behind with everything. Wishing you the happiest of times in 2023! :)

@ Alana - thanks so much ... I've been around, but not anxious to hit the computer ... getting to it for 2023! Yes - our 'ancient' buildings are always a pleasure to see - I love the history ...

@ Val - thanks so much ... I owe you a visit - I'll be catching up these next few days (I hope!) ... I need to find out what you've been doing ...

@ Inger - great to see you ... always love having your messages as I too feel like I've known you personally as we've connected via blogging - I agree blogging is 'a very good thing' ...

@ Jess - lovely to see you too ... we had a peaceful Christmas, which was good ... yes I still have to get down to see the tree in the sunlight - which we're lacking at the moment!

Wishing you and all commenters a very merry 2023 ... and an easier year ahead - so lovely to see you all - thanks for all your visits - cheers Hilary
