Happy New Year ... 2025 here we come?!

HAPPY  NEW  YEAR

TO  YOU  ALL

LET'S HOPE THE WORLD MOVES TOWARDS

PEACE AND GIVES US ALL BREATHING SPACE,

without upsetting our apple carts of life.

Hi everyone … I've been having interesting techie headaches … probably me having the blanks, then the poor head being fed up with clearing the mess up …

Here's to us ...

Next Monday will be a somewhat important post … for me, and updating you on another great blogging friend …

This week we have our first 2025 European Movement dinner – so I'm kept busy in that direction …

Heaven help me?!
I'm sure I didn't turn into this?!
I also have a talk to give on Magna Carta – which if I wasn't having techie challenges would be fine … but I really need to work something out – so I can finish it here and not have to go and ask for help …

That's it for now – I will need to catch up … sloth really has set in – let alone the wet weather (no snow here, so far) we've been having … a few chills ...

This is 'my Mummy' from about
40 years ago ... appropriate n'est pas?

Good luck to all with the weather we're having in various parts of the world …

Happy New Year! Ugh for tech issues. You almost need to have a teen on call to just handle stuff like that. Good luck. Hope it sorts out.
Brrr. Polar vortex weather swooped in and it felt like 23 this morning with wind chills. I went to water aerobics and the pool felt fine, so I'm keeping exercise resolutions.
Sounds like you are busy, busy and that's good. Wish I could hear the Magna Carta talk - bet it's quite informative. Cheers!

I am still smiling at that final image. Thank you.
I am sorry to read about the techie head attacks and hope they are being resolved.
Looking forward to your next post - and to your Magna Carta talk (in the fullness of time).

It's a little hard to get back to it after the holidays. I hope your tech headaches are easily remedied.

Haha I have also had a few techi headaches but I seem to have sorted myself out. Wishing you all the very best for 2025 and yes, let us hope the world sorts itself out as well in a peaceful way. Cheers Diane

Even in my advanced old age, I am still fascinated in the goals of the Magna Carta and whether they were achieved.

@ Joanne - thanks so much ... no teens here! Just a few type teen brains with some (very, perhaps even) aged interiors!! It'll get sorted today I hope ... or plan B kicks in and then I'll wait a day or two. Your weather sounds horrible ... we've finally had a little kicker of cold - but absolutely nothing like yours. Good for you for taking water aerobics and continuing with the exercise ... I'll need to walk along the coast - the nearest I'll get to cold water?! Yes ... January seems to be busy - which I'm sure is good for me.

@ EC - yes .. I love that image of my Ma - when I wasn't in the country but in SA. Oh the techie things I hope to resolve in the next few days ... the sooner the better, frankly. Thanks re the next post ... another year, another look at life ... the Magna Carta talk won't be as much fun as the King John one I gave ... but informative. I'll send it on once finished ...

@ Liz - I should have got myself into gear - but those little things not happening set me back - when slothness took over.

@ Sherry – great to see you … thanks for the thoughts … life will return to normal soon ...

@ Diane - yes I do laugh as I fall back into my chair with a book, rather than get on with the techie things. I'll be over to you shortly ... later in the week. I too hope the world sorts itself out ...

@ Yam - thanks ... I'm raising my head above 2025's parapet ... I'll get into the clear lane soon. Monday is not a special one - just my birthday for the blog too and I have a piece of news ... which I'll impart (not about me). So could be 33 - 99 ... a double somewhere in between?!

@ Hels - I'm writing about the Plantagenet era (1150 - 1485) and almost certainly won't touch the effect Magna Carta's having in today's age ... way too difficult for me.

@ Katerina - thanks for the visit - I hope your Greek year is happy too ...

Thanks everyone so much ... delighted to see you all - I'll catch up during January ... Happy New Year - cheers Hilary

Is there something in the air? Too many people are having techie issues - I hope yours are soon sorted! You need your technology to support your work

Sorry about the tech issues. Cold and wet here although no snow in my area.

@ Janice - probably ... AI is controlling us already - help?! Yup I'll get mine resolved either today or tomorrow ... I do need it for my Magna Carta talk ...

@ Alex - oh yes tech issues ... a pain, but there we go at times. Cold and wet here too - yet we might get snow in the next couple of days ... the ambience of the sky is looking a little like it ...

Cheers to both of you - thanks for coming by ... Hilary

@ Anabel - yes .. a happy year as it progresses ... and I sure hope happiness occurs with the techie challenges sorted out!

@ Jacqui - thanks ... yes - a big day on Monday and ahead as we move on ... and I'll be with you for your promotion of Endangered Species ...

Thanks to you three - Happy New Year - cheers Hilary

Not a good start to the New Year, there's nothing worse than a technical malfunction! Hopefully things are sorting themselves out and normal service will shortly be resumed. Next Monday - intriguing!

Tech challenges are the worst, but I know you'll do a great job with your Magna Carta talk! Happy 2025 to you!

Hilary Melton-Butcher said...

@ Keith - long story ... mostly my fault! I've managed a hybrid correction ... strange, but true ... and so can wait til later the month, when I had already fixed a computer expert lady (friend) to help me ... Next Monday - well after tonight I have to concentrate on that day ...

@ Elizabeth - just frustrating as you say ... the Magna Carta talk is a little dry ... and not the easiest to lighten up - but no doubt I'll make a plan. Now I can do what I want here ... with my hybrid correction ... I'll make a plan for the talk.

Great to see you both ... I'm looking forward to being less frenetic - cheers Hilary
